This July 2011 sees the British Medical Football Team host the 17th International World Medical Football Championships in Salford, Manchester.

Preparations are heavily under way for this year's tournament which is being held in the UK for the first time since it's inception.  The event, which includes an international medical conference as well as the football tournament, is an opportunity for medics from across the globe to meet up and share a common interest.

The competition is expected to be intense as usual, with current holders Hungary looking to retain their title. Twelve teams including Brazil, the USA, Germany, Austria, Australia and of course our very own Great Britain aim to spoil their plans however.  For more information regarding this year's competition please go the World Medical Football Federation website.
